Hi there 
Well, my contract finished at Heyday last Friday, so i am now back in the wilderness of freelancing.
No sooner had I hung up my Heyday hat, when I start getting emails from some people wanting me to work on their music projects. Cool
So now I am in talks with the management of a very successful ‘Popera” artist – who has sold multi-Platinum and is a genuine talent. Watch this space!
Also, another Artist that I have been working with has been given an amazing opportunity. I can’t name names but he posted some tracks we did on his MySpace page, was scouted by an international Management company to join a Uk-based “boy band” called $&@&H%$##.
So far his trip has included Orlando Florida, London, Los Angeles – and he’s been rubbing shoulders with some bigwigs – and is soon off to Sweden to work with the legendary Max MArtin. (If you don’t know who he is, he’s the guy behind Backstreet Boys, Britney, N’Sync, Kelly Clarkson, amongst many other superstars.)
I can’t wait to tell you more but you’ll have to wait and see!!!

This week we reached the 4000 mark. wow, that happened a lot faster than the jump from 2000 to 3000.
We now have film jobs, film crew, vfx (visual effects) jobs, compositing jobs, and all kinds of film industry jobs from companies all over the globe.
It’s becoming a great community and with new features like smoothchat™ (instant chat) and some other top secret new developments on the way, we’re really excited about the site.

smoothdevil.com has finally cracked 3000 members, so we feel pretty good about that.
smoothdevil is becoming an excellent community for social and industry networking for people in the film, vfx (visual effects), audio, post production and video game industries.
we have oodles of jobs for professionals in these areas, and cater for everyone from crew, vfx artists, animators, designers, audio professionals, and much more.
we are also adding some new tools and toys but I cannot say too much just yet.

Another update on www.smoothdevil.com
We now have a fully featured job system up and running, including jobs from heavy hitters Animal Logic & Climax Game Studios – so get in there and have a look.
Membership continues to grow, with both individuals and companies from all over the world.
there are still some free 3 month memberships available, but when they are gone they’ll be gone. Payment gateway is being built so when its done, we’ll be charging a very minimal annual fee to be a member.

Jobs are still under construction – it’s a big job – but will be ready in a week or so, according to Blain, our senior programmer.

Well, we’re fast approaching 500 members, from all over the world….still mostly from the UK…
We’ve launched Personal Messaging on the site so people are talking to each other about all sorts of stuff…some collaborations forming thru contacts made on the site. Choice.
The site is aimed at connecting film, vfx, post and audio industry professionals from all over the world , and seems to be working.
We’re adding a comprehensive (and FREE) job section in the coming days, so I am sure that will create some real interest.
