Monthly Archives: October 2007

Well, we’re fast approaching 500 members, from all over the world….still mostly from the UK…

We’ve launched Personal Messaging on the site so people are talking to each other about all sorts of stuff…some collaborations forming thru contacts made on the site. Choice.

The site is aimed at connecting film, vfx, post and audio industry professionals from all over the world , and seems to be working.

We’re adding a comprehensive (and FREE) job section in the coming days, so I am sure that will create some real interest.

Anyhow, feel free to check it out :)

to Rowan Simpson for his invaluable insights – shared both thru his blog and also when he took the time out to meet up with me yesterday at SUPERFINO (Superfino is a wicked new cafe / cocktail bar in Ghuznee Street. Very Euro, very classy, very tasteful. Nice.)

If you don’t know, Rowan was one of the brains behind the development and success of TradeMe, and a terrific guy.

My wife Angela set him up with his wife Emily many years ago :)

Cool – cheers Rowan!!

Well, after about 3 weeks or so of being ‘live’ we have over 250 members, and over 40 companies from the Film, VFX, Audio, Post, & video Game industries.

We’re feeling pretty stoked with that so far :)

being added soon are jobs, community, personal messaging, so people can interact and develop useful industry contacts, as well as show their profile and portfolio online.

Lots of the new users are from the UK – mainly London – so its going to be interesting to see how the response from wellywood goes :)

Feel free to check it out and throw a profile up :)

cheers
